This book of memoirs shed the light on the circumstances of the adventurous escape of General Lavr Kornilov, a future leader of the White movement, from Austrian captivity in August 1916. The book consists of memoirs by one of the organizers of this escape A. Solntsev-Zasekin and several appendices. These memoirs also describe the details of the life of Russian soldiers in captivity in Austria.
