This book is a documentary study of Grigorii Rasputin's life. The image and the political role of Rasputin, as it is represented in this book, is quite different from the one widely presented in current literature. This study was supported by the Russian Church Abroad in connection with their intention to canonize Nicholas the First's family, who were killed by the Bolsheviks.
