Edited by Wang Pilie, Cetacean in China (Hardcover) is a more systematic and complete cetacean monograph , which is the summary of the study on cetacean in China for more than 50 years by the author and is also an important integrated part of Marine Mammals that is wanted in Chinese Fauna. The book is divided into two parts. Part One is the overview making a brief introduction to China's cetacean study, the brief history of the offshore whale catching in China, the cetacean classification and search, China's cetacean regions, economic significance and resources protection. Part Two is the individual analysis with a total of 37 chapters, describing 37 species of cetacean in China's waters, of which, the baleen whales suborder has 10 species, 4 genus and 3 families, the toothed whale suborder 27 species, 21 genus and 6 families.
