The Blind Watchmaker is an authentic introduction book in evolution, also a great one teaching us to know ourselves and life. At the end of Selfish Gene, the author focuses on the "origin of biological adaptation", and details that biological adaptation is an issue unavoidable by all evolutionary theorists while the Theory of Natural Selection is the only credible theory in a steady writing style. Some scholars put forward the theories to replace the Theory of Natural Selection, or think that the Theory of Natural Selection is of little importance. However, they cannot explain the biological adaptation. Mutation and natural selection are the two basic concepts of Dawkins on explaining life changes. For those who are interested or critical in evolution, this book is the best start.
