By taking the veiled Isis as a clue, the book of ""Isiss Veil (History of Nature Idea)"" traces the thinkers various explanations for the Heraclitus proverb. From this, we can see two attitudes toward nature: one is the Promethean attitude or experimental attitude, advocating the unveiling of nature by technology to reveal her secret; the other is Orpheus attitude or contemplative, poetic attitude, considering that unveiling the Earth in this way means a kind of serious violation and sins. From the end of the 18th century, Isiss veil gradually no longer refers to the secrets of nature but the existence of the mystery, which continues to this day.
