It revisits some of principal events and personalities of that era through topics revolving around interpersonal behavior, in order to examine both how those writers evaluated the conduct of their contemporaries and how some of their pessimistic conclusions might have contributed to the reputation for decadence of their century. About the Author The author is a graduate of the University of New Mexico (USA) with a doctorate in Medieval and Early Modern European History. She specializes in cultural history of late-medieval France and Burgundy and has written on aspects of court life, popular theater, urban revolts, and crime.
