The categorization and cases of the book takes reference of Code of Great Ming Dynasty which is divided into 14 kinds such as emperor's costume, empress' costume, princes' costume, inner officials' costume, civil and military officials' costume, Titled Madame's costume, costume in military academy, government student's costume, bachelor's costume, wife of bachelor's costume, costume in funeral and marriage, servant's costume, costume in dance and monk's costume and each kind can be considered as one volume. In addition, some diagrams sketched important and representative costumes are summarized into one volume.
