The history of costumes is the history of culture which introduces the pureness and simplicity of women's garments in the Pre-Qing Dynasty, the complex and gorgeous embroidery in the Han Dynasty, the gracefulness and unrestrainedness of the Six Dynasties, the simple luxury of the Song Dynasty, and the modest luxury in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Through the case study of make-up and costumes in past ages, it reflects the culture of some eras from both micro and macro perspectives, as if touching the pulse of life's history.
