This book introduces the social reforms after the May 4th Movement, pointing out the idea of various social reforms is component of the May 4th Movement. The author sees the May 4th Movement as a multi dimensional experiment of social and cultural movement. And by extending the movement to the 1940s, the author studies the new youth of the May 4th generation and their responses and choices facing the changes of situations.
