This book is a collection of Kuprin's stories, essays, memoirs, literary portraits, obituaries, interviews and notes (more than 200 works). Aleksandr Kuprin (1870-1938) spent almost 20 years of his life in emigration: he left Russia in 1919, and returned to his homeland, called at the moment the USSR, in 1937. These years were also the last years of his artistic life: he did not write anything after re-emigration and died in 1938.
