The edition contains works by a well known linguist Andrei Zalizniak (b. 1935) on the modern Russian and Old Russian accentology. The first volume includes research on the contemporary and historical accentology of the Russian language. A most important part of it is a resumed work "From Proto-Slavic accentology to the Russian one" containing foundations of the modern Russian accentology and the history of the Russian stress.
