Русский Север. Книга 5: Ворота в Арктику

This is the fifth volume of the series The Russian North. It narrates the role of the city of Arkhangel'sk in developing the Arctic and the North Sea Path in the twentieth century. The book was written in 1985 and introduced by the world famous Russian Polar researcher Ivan Papanin. Appendix includes documents of and reports to the Russian government related to Arctic studies and development in 1918-1933.
