Tocqueville is a French renowned political commentary thinker. After his representative works Democracy in America published, he got universal fame. This work's concludes 2 volumes.In the first volume, he narrated American political system in the first part, and the second part carried American democracy on the social analysis.The last volume is divided into four parts, displays its political philosophy and the political sociology thought taking the US as the background. This is an acknowledged world famous work written by France political scientist, sociologist Tocqueville after his long-term inspection in America. This first volume includes American geographical environment, the race condition, the influence of British lineage immigration on North America, the advantages of American federal system and comparison with other national federal systems, the relationship between the Federal state and other states, the reason of political parties, the function of political organizations, and the influence of public opinions, and so on .His central thought is how US's democracy, the freedom, the equality function in the political life and social life.
