Late Bronze Palestinian Pendants: Innovation in a Cosmopolitan Age

Large numbers of jewellery pendants in a wide array of materials and styles first appeared in Palestine in the Late Bronze Age (ca. 1550-1200 BCE). This detailed archaeological and scientific study of the pendants, representing 100 types, sheds important new light on foreign relations, the extent of Egyptian control, religious and artistic syncretism, socio-economic stratification and technological innovation.
