About the Author
Marc D. Ensign is a professional electric bass player residing in the New York Metropolitan area. Marc's first book with Mel Bay Publications, entitled Slappin': A Complete Study of Slap Technique for Bass has been well received by critics and bass players everywhere. Marc is a well-respected bass player and has performed in various bands, clubs, studio sessions, and Broadway shows all over the world. While being very proficient in all styles, his main interests include funk, jazz, soul, R & B, and fusion. Aside from his performing and writing, Marc has a successful teaching practice, is a featured writer for Bass Frontiers and Bass Player magazines and is endorsed exclusively by DR Strings.
