The Rainy Season in Mengwei Village is a prose. In 2008, the author stepped on a journey of looking for answers to his confusion when confronting with dream and reality. He blended himself into the life of local villagers and built up inextricable relations with them in Mengwei Village, a primitive village without electricity, internet and mobile phone signal within the border of Laos. He witnessed both simplicity and greediness of the villagers, met numerous people with dreams and encountered the imbalance between reality and ideal in one month. However, he finally got inspired and firmed his dream.
