道光十九年: 从禁烟到战争

This book describes the Chinese society before Opium War in a multi-angle manner and introduces the interaction between Britain and China on licit trade, opium smuggling and anti-smuggling. The book historically observes the way of opium flooding and flowing in China and systematically describes the change of Qing Dynasty¡¯s ban on opium-smoking and the opium trade in various stages to illustrate that the Opium War was resulted from the change of ban to the actual action. With detailed description of Chinese society, politics and foreign relations in Qing Dynasty, the book also points out the Qing Dynasty¡¯s blind arrogant cultural mentality and refutes western scholars¡¯ non-historical views on the War.
