During the dark days of World War II, forty-one individuals from Ganson Street in the industrialized Western New York city of North Tonawanda left all that was dear to battle the domination of the Axis forces. The Ganson Street Tigers bonded on the streets of an immigrant neighborhood during the Great Depression and their camaraderie was cemented forever on the ball diamonds and sandlots of their youth.
