Valerii Podoroga, one of the leading Russian cultural anthropologists and philosophers, studies the "other" or "experimental" Russian literature (also defined as "non-noble" or "non-classicist"). One of the differences he found between them is a different vision of the world or dominating form of mimesis. This is the second volume (part I) of his study. It includes two chapters: Literature as self-consciousness (Case of Andrei Belyi); Eunuch of soul ("Revolutionary machines" and literature of A. Platonov). The first volume contains the first phase of his work and deals with the two classic writers of this literary direction: N. Gogol' and F. Dostoevskii (also available). Comments.
