It introduces significant genealogical sources housed in the PRO: The Catholic recusant rolls and especially the non-parochial registers kept by numerous Nonconformist and some Roman Catholic congregations, comprising thousands of individual names and snippets of personal information. The guide also has several useful elements : a list of other archives containing material on Nonconformity and Catholicism; a glossary of terms; and an extensive bibliography.
