This book is about Pentecostal/Charismatic Christian preaching. (There are 550 million Pentecostal/Charismatic Christians in the world.) This is the first book written for Pentecostal pastors and theological students by a trained homiletican. Charismatic/Pentecostal preaching seeks to follow the example of Jesus (Luke 4:16-20) were anointed preaching and signs wonders and miracles go hand in hand. From this backdrop we develop homiletical and hermeneutical principles of Pentecostal preaching.
It is academic and practical and it seeks to move the reader to practice the type of preaching Jesus did. The language of the book is simple so an untrained pastor can understand it; the difficult parts are in the endnotes for serious students.


About the Author


I was born and raised in a Hindu home in Trinidad West Indies. I was converted at 15, filled with the Holy Spirit and felt called to the Christian ministry at 16. I have been a pastor for almost twenty years. Most of my pastoral experience has been in Canada. I am the founding pastor of Agape Chapel in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and remained with that congregation for seventeen years. I have preached and/or taught in South America, Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Fiji, England and Africa. After pastoring for many years I felt the Lord leading me to help pastors develop their preaching gift. To that end, I have prepared myself by studying for, and receiving, two doctorates in homiletics: a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Westminster in California in 1993 and a Doctor of Theology from the University of South Africa in 2001. The title of my Th.D. dissertation is "Pentecostal Preaching in North America." I have authored one book on preaching: How Shall They Hear? The Art of Effective Biblical Preaching, 1996. I have been married to Rubena for 28 years and have two adult children, Sharla and Christa and one grandchild. I have made my home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for over 30 years.
