颜色与祭祀: 中国古代文化中颜色涵义探幽

This book discusses the words about colors in the oracle bones which are from the ruins of the late Shang Yin dynasty, and thus reconstructs the implied color classification system. It analyzes the application of colors in the sacrifice activities of Shang dynasty and explores their meaning in a particular cultural system; it interprets the relationship between the symbol system of Shang colors and the later saying of Five Lines. Because of the complexity of the research objects and research materials, this book applies a multivariate method, not only absorbing the research methods and results of philology, but also combining the research theory and methods of linguistics, anthropology and archaeology. The study in this book provides completely new perspective and base for us to understand the establishment and development of Chinese early philosophy and scientific thought, and sets foundation for further systematically researching the connotation of colors in Chinese culture.
