The Earliest Biographies of the Prophet and their Authors

One of two volumes of selected essays by German Orientalist Horovitz (1874-1931). The four parts were published separately, the first two in the Hyderabad journal Islamic Culture in 1927 and 1928. An extensive account of his life and work is contained in the sister volume, Studies on Early Islam . The publication is in collaboration with the Magnes Press. Annotation c.
