This is a documentary chronicle of the four years spent by Russian poet Nikolai Gumilev on the Eastern Front: 1914-1918. This book was started by Stanislav Lesnevskii (d. 2014) and finished by E. Stepanov. It is based on Gumilev's letters, poems, memoirs and other sources.
