It explains in a simple but thorough manner, the fundamental concepts and techniques involved in both Production and Operations Management. Sufficient examples are included throughout the text to illustrate these concepts and techniques. About The Prof. P. Rama Murthy was born in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh in 1941. He had his schooling at Bellary in Karnataka. He completed his engineering graduation from BOT College of Engineering, Davangere in 1964. He did his M.Tech. in Heat Power from JNT University, Hyderabad. Prof. P. Rama Murthy received his graduateship in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai and PG.D.B.A. from Annamalai University. He did his research work in Industrial Engineering at NITIE, Mumbai. He started his teaching career in the year 1964. In 1966, he joined JNTU College of Engineering, Anantapur as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. From 1966 he served in various positions and retired as professor in 2002 from this college. Since then he has been serving as Principal at Intell Engineering College, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.
