Product Description
Conflicts within family businesses are a widespread phenomenon. This especially applies to those companies in which the related family is legally subdivided into different tribes. Despite its high practical relevance, this particular form of organisation has yet to receive much attention from the scientific community. Based on social psychological theories and models, Jakob Ammer explains with his study why tribal organisations tend to be disproportionately affected by group conflicts. Drawing upon seven qualitative case studies, he also provides concrete recommendations for action as to how the risk of tribal conflicts can be effectively mitigated.
