Tagalog-English Dictionary

This is a Tagalog-English Dictionary compiled by Father Leo James English, C.Ss.R and his assistants. The work took almost eighteen years. It now becomes the companion volume to his English-Tagalog Dictionary compiled several years ago. The content of this dictionary are approximately as follows: Main words 16,000; derivatives 21,000; Tagalog sentences 30,000; English translations of these sentences 30, 000. Total number of all entries 97,000. Therefore, this Tagalog-English Dictionary should be of great value to teachers and students throughout the Philippines. It should also be of considerable help in improving the standard of English of both students and teachers besides helping them in the study of their own language.
