St. Petersburg is sometimes called a "museum of bridges"? How many bridges are in the city? Even specialists find this question quite difficult to answer. Some of them appeared just recently, others have been destroyed, or are under reconstruction. There were 20 bridges in 1725, 50 in 1753, by now it is about 500.
