The author presents a management rationale, together with details of some of the treatment and laboratory stages, illustrated by specific cases photographed during treatment in a practice environment. His primary objective is to present an overall approach to the management of failure in the restored dentition, with emphasis on patients with extensive restorations; areas that are most frequently asked about; and areas inadequately covered in other texts.
