The Hamwic Glass

The assemblage of glass fragments from the Saxon site of Hamwic is one of the most important in Europe. This book details the range of different coloured glass, vessel types and decorative elements. Through an innovative approach to the study of glass fragments, including compositional and colour analysis, insights into glass production in Middle Saxon times are revealed.
