The book selected 58 classical essays written by Lu Xun from 1918 to 1936. Mr. Lu Xun wrote the first essay Impressions Record in 1918 and passed away in the year of 1936. Among his essays, some described the manners and the moral of times such as How Are We to Be Father Now and The Boundaries of Free Speech; some investigated the human heart such as Talks on Jin Shengtan and Discussions on Fucking Terms; and some talked about poetry and art such as The Secret of Composition and The Trivia Notes about Reading.
