
On 25 August 1968 eight people came to Red Square in front of the Kremlin to protest against the Russian intrusion into Czechoslovakia. This event had tragic consequences for many of them. One of the participants of this protest, poet and translator Natalia Gorbanevskaia, collected materials and documents related to the event and the persecution of this group. The first edition of this book was in 1970 (Posev), and was translated into several languages.
