Global War, first published in 1946 and updated in 2014, is an eminently readable, month-by-month account of the major political and military events of the six years of the Second World War (1939-1945). Included are synopses of the battles on land, sea, and air (from all theaters of the War), and excerpts from important speeches by world leaders such as Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and the Emperor of Japan.
