In the Spring of 2002, thirty-one-year-old Antoinette Bostic, an African American woman, successfully graduates from the Detroit Police Academy Class 2002D as Officer Bostic - Badge #3641 to serve and protect one of the most dangerous cities in America, Detroit.

A divorced mother raising three daughters on her own, she encounters the struggles of identifying with the dangerous perceptions of being a black woman with a badge and a gun.

Working undercover as a prostitute decoy on Detroit's unforgiving streets in the seedy sex trafficking underworld; rookie cop Officer Bostic finds herself swept into a cyclone of political scandal and corruption, a relentless stalker's sadistic plan of attack, and caught in the crosshairs of an infamous stripper party at the mayor's Manoogian Mansion and discovers the Blue Code of Silence bleed beyond the badge into politics and the church—challenging her faith and focus.

Her childhood dreams of being a Detroit Homicide Detective solving cold cases were on the verge of becoming a nightmare.

Detroit is on the brink of ruin under the reign of notorious mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. A city once rich in industry, capitalism, culture, and faith institutions are now in need of redemption and salvation—and so is Antoinette, a Detroit Police Officer fighting to save her family and her life.
