This book is based on the purpose that totally confirms the present Chinese archaeology theory and the method heritage,systematically analyzes the archaeology trends outside Anyang before 1949.The trends not only include the works done by other institutions and persons in Anyang, but also includes the history language outside Anyang:not only include the activities of field archaeology done by other institutions,but also include the attempt of non-field archaeology;not only include the archaeology before the archaeology,but also include selfish excavation and excavation;on the other hands,it also includes multi-trends based on the practical field investigation, and the input of basic concept,method and theory of archaeology.On this basis, the book present out the research method of the re-visit for the archaeology,advocate the situation-conscious, history-oriented archaeology research.
