Product Description This collection showcases current research on the use of non-flint raw materials in prehistory, with an overwhelmingly European focus. Materials under discussion include obsidian, rhyolite, sandstone, gabbro, quartzite, Yellow Silicified Wood, Black Stone, quartz and chert, and the essays are divided into three sections: terminology and methodology; experimental archaeology and use wear studies; and the socio-economic implications of non-flint raw material use.
