This volume, another in the series publishing the acts of the XIVth UISPP Congress held at the University of Liège in 2001, comprises fourteen papers from the field of palaeoecology. Contributors examine flora and fauna, cave sediments, nutrition and the origin of agriculture, covering the Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age, at a number of sites, predominantly in western Europe. The `Out of Africa' question is also discussed. Papers in French and English; all with abstracts in both languages.
