About the Author I got inspired to write this book after reading 'wealth & Poverty of Nations' by David Landes & 'Empire" by Niall Ferguson. My book is an antithesis to the generally held belief of the source of British wealth. I could tackle this complex subject because I am a product of East & West. I have B.S.'62 from Auburn & M.S.'64 Iowa State & I have worked for four decades with major multinational corporations. I am also a proud parent of two highly talented children who are well established in the medical field.
