The Unification of Germany put the end to the so called "cold war". This collection of documents shows the role in this decision of the General secretary of the CPSU and later the president of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev. Among them are transcripts of the conversations between Gorbachev and German politicians, leaders of the world states, letters, reports of Gorbachev's assistants, minutes of meetings of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CPSU.
