Janin's The Separated Eastern Churches gives an account of the various churches of the East, both Byzantine and oriental. For each branch of the church, the author gives its history and organizational structure. The churches covered are the Greek Orthodox churches, the Melkite churches, the Russian church, the churches of Serbia and Bulgaria, the Armenian churches, the Syriac churches and the Coptic and Ethiopian churches.
