晚清侍卫追忆录

Family root of the author Fucha-Jiangong is blue flag manchu of Qing dynasty. The leading character Fucha-Abalihan in the first part of the book is great grandfather of the author while the leading character Fucha-Duoerji in the second part is the grandfather of the author. Duo Ji mentioned in The First Half of My Life by Puyi is the very Fucha-Duoerji. From the angle of his personal experience, the author shows us how a common haizhuzi (child) of lower three flags grows up step by step to be an imperial bodyguard by characteristic and simple Manchu Beijing dialect. In addition, he shows us that dark, unstable and confused history of late Qing Dynasty through this special status in a close view.
