La faune du site néolithique de Sion-Avenue Ritz (Valais, Suisse): Histoire d'un élevage villageois il y a 5000 ans

A report on faunal evidence recovered from the middle Neolithic site of Sion-Avenue Ritz in the high altitude area of Valais in Switzerland. The faunal assemblage was derived largely from domestic middens and showed the presence of butchered sheep and goats along with some wild, hunted species. One particular pit held approximately 15 sheep/goats which remained largely complete and were most likely deposited in one episode as the herd was struck by disease. French text.
