This analysis of graves with weapons belonging to the Urnfield culture is based on an inventory and discussion of Bronze Age graves and grave types from central Europe. Clausing considers and lists the types of weapons deposited, especially the fine swords, associated gravegoods, such as jewellery, the urns themselves and the distribution of the graves. Finally, Clausing draws conclusions about what these burials reveal about the nature of war in Bronze Age Europe. Includes an illustrated catalogue. German text.
