Near fine, illustrated hard cover w gray FEP/REP, first edition. Appears unread as pages are tight and bright and unmarked. Page marker ribbon in tact. Only noted flaw is paste bleed through on small section of REP. Dust jacket unclipped, shows minimal shelf wear, corner top rubbed w few scrapes on spine/front. Now under mylar protective wrap. Recreates scenes, stories and anecdotes of elegant enchantment which center on the pleasures of food and eating. Proust's writing is rich in reference to food, cooking and the joys of eating in style . Wonderful photos recreating how the food was served / serving pieces in this very opulent era.
