Product Description This volume tests a new model (Time Geography) which stresses the importance of both space and time in the understanding of social processes, to investigate the concept of innovation in cultural evolution, something which has hitherto been understood in quite different ways by different disciplines within the social sciences. Existing data for the faunal remains of sheep, cow and pig in Iron Age sites across Roman Britain is reassessed for evidence of cultural chage, and this is mapped against the new concept of Time-Space constraints , described as "the impact of the environment on each individual".
