Product Description This volume forms part of the work carried out by the Cuenca de Sayula Archaeological Project in investigating the pre-Hispanic history of occupation in the Sayula basin in Western Mexico. The author takes an archaeo-anthropological approach to studying the funerary data from the site of Caseta, identifying occupation evidence dating to between 300-400 BC and AD 1100-1500. Data from the graves, the 179 individuals identified and their grave goods, are used to reconstruct a picture of funerary practices for each period of occupation and provide insights into the social organisation, identity, cultural and biological character of the population.
