The name of the Russian nobleman Mikhail Illarionovich Golenishchev- Kutuzov (1745-1813) stands close to Aleksandr Suvorov, another Russian national hero and military leader. This book is a new biography of the field marshal, who served three Russian emperors, and distinguished himself in the Russo-Turkish wars, especially in the seizure of the city of Izmail.
