This is an annual report about archeological excavations and discoveries made by all Russian archeologists in 2004 in the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad. It contains about 300 papers. The reports are arranged by geographical area of study: North and Northwest; the Central European area of Russia; the Southern region of the European area of Russia; the Volga region and the Urals; Siberia and the Far East; foreign expeditions, including neighboring countries.
