
From the May 2001 lecture series come the reproductions of six one-hour talks focusing on parallel numerical algorithms for partial differential equations, a subset of the field of computational mathematics. Theory, computer implementation, and applications are equally emphasized. The lecture topics are: some multiscale methods for partial differential equations, terascale implicit methods for partial differential equations, boundary conditions for fully implicit two-phase flow models, phase-field models of solidification, singularity formation in free-surface Stokes flow, and cache memory methods for multigrid in three dimensions.
