Mazya has had a very distinguished career in mathematics, with specialties including boundary convergence and exceptional sets, random Schrödinger operations, calculation integrals and critical Sobolev space problems of optimal classes, proving that a tough childhood can teach discipline and also an appreciation for diversity.
